always begin in the SoMa area of the city. San Francisco is a unique city in the
sense that the action is exciting yet tame at the same time. In other words,
you’re not going to find big crowds and unfriendly people. Instead, you’re
likely to find laidback and friendly people.
Transbay Terminal
If
you don’t live in San Francisco, but you’re familiar with it, then you have
probably heard of Transbay Terminal. What many outsiders don’t know is that
Transbay Terminal has been closed and has reopened as Transbay Transit Center.
This is an important note because this is where you catch electric commuter
trains and buses. If you’re not using a car or walking on foot, it’s a good
option.
Ferry Building
When in town, your first stop should be the
Ferry Building, which is home to the Farmer’s Market. What makes the Ferry
Building great is that they only accept produce from local certified farmers.
Therefore, not only do you know everything is fresh, but you also know that
you’re helping out the local economy when you purchase something. It’s not only
produce you can find here, however. This place is huge. You can find books,
ferry tickets, breads & cheeses, cafes, coffee shops, cookware, pastries,
specialty groceries, wine and restaurants. As far as the latter is concerned, be
sure to dine at Slanted Door and Gott’s Roadside. If you’re just visiting, then
it’s going to be tough to eat at both establishments, but it would be well worth
the effort.
Millennium Tower
Another standout feature in the SoMa
area is Millennium Tower. This isn’t a tourist attraction, but it’s a major
landmark. It’s the highest of high-end condo living you can find. The luxury condos at Millennium Tower
have everything you can think of in the way of amenities. Of course, they have
an indoor pool. What might impress you more is the sports club, bar &
lounge, fitness center, children’s room, outdoor terrace and wine tasting room.
Needless to say, if you choose to move to San Francisco and live in Millennium
Tower, you’re going to be living the epitome of the high life. You'll also be
neighbors with famous Millennium
Tower resident Joe Montana. The condos themselves are spacious, modern and
offer superb skyline views of San Francisco. You can also see the Golden Gate
Bridge from many condos.
