Joe Montana's inherent determination to win
has made for an easy transition from the NFL to the world of charitable
foundations and events. Montana now champions charitable initiatives linked to
beating hunger, memory disorders, Huntington's, Parkinson's, MS and ALS. In
addition, he supports a variety of groups focused on the well-being and comfort
of children. Having returned to California, Montana often involves his family in
charitable causes and uses his connections in and around California to optimize
the effectiveness of the events and causes he drives.
Recently, Montana
teamed up with other celebrities to promote the Huddle to Fight Hunger program,
running from August 22nd of 2010 to January 9th, 2011. This program -= sponsored
by Kraft Foods - aims to give away more than 20 million meals through Feeding
America. Often times, Joe Montana can carry or bolster a cause simply by linking
his name or likeness to promotional materials. He regularly acts as the talent
in ad work, marketing and public relations for organizations whose causes he
supports.
A Family Affair
Both Montana's wife and father have been
involved in charity work, sometimes as a partner with Joe for an event or drive.
At a recent auction for Dads and Grads through charitybuzz.com, for example, Joe
and Joe Sr. offered dinner for 8 at Joe Montana's California home with his
father in attendance. Jennifer Montana, Joe's wife, is no slouch in her own
right when it comes to supporting a cause. For breast cancer in particular,
Jennifer Montana has been a staple for a number of organizations throughout
California who specialize in fundraising for research, treatment and
awareness.
Finding a Way to Win
If the Montana family is not
directly facilitating or featured in a charitable event, they may show up to
throw funds at a cause they support. Not too long ago, Joe and Jennifer attended
an auction in the wine country of Sonoma, at which they were the top bidders on
a limited edition $380,000.00 Rolls-Royce Phantom. Truly putting their money
where their mouths are, the Montana's have become one of the more admirable
philanthropic families in all of California, if not the western United States.
Possessing the rare combination of wealth and loyalty from a local base of fans,
Joe Montana has successfully piggybacked his acclaim from the gridiron to a
lifestyle built on giving and improving the lives of those who are less
fortunate.
Joe Montana is currently a resident of the city that made him
a legend, San Francisco. He lives in the amazing luxury condos at Millennium
Tower, the city's tallest residential building. It is from the Millennium Tower in SoMathat Montana
