People never expected that a person they loved so much and been popular for all his charity works and community service would be able to do such terrible thing as what John Wayne Gacy did. It is unbelievable for many but he finally admitted the crime he committed killing 33 males, with sexual abuse and murder.
Gacy is loved by many in his place in Chicago. He lives normally as a child though has been in hard times with his abusive and alcoholic father. He felt so deeply attached to his father even if he was always cold to his son Gacy which in turn became regretful when his father died while he was in prison. Though he has somewhat disturbed emotional state, he still managed to get involved in the society and do charitable deeds to the community. He held parties at home or wear a “Pogo the Clown” costume in street parties for kids as well as in the hospitals. She gives smile to the people around him. But without knowing the other side of him, he later has known as the “Killer Clown”.
His criminal records started about a year and a half following his marriage with Marilyn Myers in Iowa in 1964. He became a father of two children and has gained control over the restaurant business of his father-in-law. He has a natural talent in talking about business and has the power to persuade people that made him a prey of his victim. He’s fond of young teenage boys to hire in his business that he gained much interest of this particular boy in which he want to have oral sex with him. The boy refused and he reported Gacy to the police that resulted him to be arrested and imprisoned for 18 years.
After the criminal records of imprisonment, he divorced his wife and tried to live a new life and remarried again to a girl named Carole Hoff in June 1, 1972. They were happy at first but then the urge in Gacy is imminent. Within 1972 – 1978, 33 males are missing strangely without any cause. Gacy’s neighbor Grexas smelled a foul smell odor in Gacy’s residence and even commented that they have dead rat under the house. They didn’t know the secret behind the smiling clown they loved a lot and he kept it for how many years.
Police were having suspicions about him so while Gacy’s out (divorced again by his wife), they found articles for an evidence and found some missing articles from the missing males. The car, as for example, wedding ring and the worst thing they’ve discovered later on were the bodies he buried in the crawl of his house. He confessed about the crime he committed and in the year 1978 he was arrested. In 1980, he was sentenced to death despite his efforts to change the story he told about his criminal records. May 10, 1994 was his execution date by the authorities via lethal injection.
