Business Process Outsourcing has been hit hard by the recession. Companies which are the source of business for BPO solutions providers have to curtail their costs to stay afloat in the times of crunch. As a result, the volume of business that they outsource has also dried down to a trickle. This has been a body blow for BPO services firm all over, especially in the third world countries. To keep pace with the decline in the amount of profit that they make, BPOs are also going on a cost saving mission. They are trying to cut out the frills, including some employee benefits. They are also working on surviving on a lean infrastructure.
