The quality of the diamond with respect to the internal defects (inclusions) and surface defects (blemishes) is called Diamond Clarity. It is one of the 4C’s of diamond grading and the rest being carat, color and cut. Crystals of a foreign material or another crystal or structural imperfections such as tiny cracks, are the internal defects known as Inclusions. The factors that affect the clarity of this precious stone are number, size, color, relative location, orientation, and visibility of inclusions
